Reporting Absence

To Report a Student Absent or Late Please Call 604-898-3688 or Email your Student(s) Classroom Teacher and
[email protected] and/or [email protected]

Attendance Information

It is very important that students attend school each day and arrive to school on time, however, please do not send your child to school if they are ill.

Late Arrivals

Children who arrive late must report to the office so we can record them as present.

Reporting Absences

Parents are asked to notify the school either by calling (604) 898-3688 or emailing their student(s) classroom teacher and [email protected] or [email protected] if their child is going to be absent or late. Messages can be left night or day.  Alternatively, a note can be sent in advance to the child’s teacher if you know that the child will be away for an appointment or for other reasons.

If your child is absent when teachers check attendance at 9:00 AM and the school has not been informed of your child’s absence, the school will email the parent/guardian to follow up on the absence.

If your child arrives to school late then they must report to the office before going to their classroom, this advises the office than they are now here and a follow up is not required.  If the office does not know your child has arrived we will send an email to follow up.

When Children are Ill

If students become ill or are injured we send those students home as soon as possible. Our practice is to call parents and to ask that the student be picked up. For this reason, it is important that parents keep work and emergency phone numbers updated in our office files.
