On October 17 at 10:17 am, Sea to Sky School District will participate in the Great British Columbia ShakeOut, an annual drill organized by the BC Earthquake Alliance. This is a chance for students and staff to practice earthquake safety measures like “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.”It’s also a great time to review emergency plans and secure spaces to reduce risks. Is something bothering you about your child's education? Many parents don't know where to begin when their child encounters a problem at school. This presentation will provide parents with information on where to go for help and walk them through common scenarios to help them better understand the policies and processes used within their school district. World Mental Health Day is observed on October 10th. Take the time to delve into the available mental health and substance use resources for school communities provided by erase. Let's work together to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health. You can access the resources here.

École Garibaldi Highlands Elementary will be piloting a pay-what-you-can twice-weekly lunch program as part of the Feeding Futures Program on Tuesday and Wednesdays.  

Ordering is now open for the Fall Session (October - December).  Tuesday’s lunch will alternate between sushi and teriyaki rice bowls and Wednesday’s lunch will be a variety of wraps, salads, cheesy pockets and bowls for the fall session.

The first lunch date is October 8th and the deadline to order for the first lunch date is this Thursday at 12pm. Orders will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, with a weekly deadline of Thursday at 12pm for the next week.
