Snow Fall & Sledding Notice!

Posted on Updated on

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The weather forecast is for snow overnight!  Always an exciting time for students as there is a nice area for sledding behind the school.  We open up the hill for sledding when there is enough accumulation as otherwise, the area becomes muddy.  Our guidelines for sledding are that students take turns, they slide feet first and their sled needs to be soft plastic only.  Sleds are stored in the vestibule area.  It would be very helpful to us if you could review these guidelines with your children before the snow comes.

Also, the school district does do it’s best to clear snow and ice in the morning, however do proceed with caution and perhaps give yourself extra time in the morning when the snow does come just to avoid being in a rush when conditions are not ideal.

Thank you for your help!
