Summer Information

Posted on

Dear Families,

The year is drawing to a close and I wanted to send along some information items for you as we head into the summer:

Playground

As you know, our playground structure was damaged by a fire.  At this time, the insurance company is conducting an evaluation on the structure to determine the best way to move forward.  As we receive information over the summer, we will update our website as to the status of the playground.

School startup

The first day of school for grades 1-6 will be Tuesday September 8 and students will attend from 8:55 am to 10:00 am.  A reminder that our warning bell is at 8:50am.  Students will return to their previous year’s teacher and any new grade 1-6 students should report to the gymnasium where they will be welcomed and provided a temporary classroom to attend until Friday, Sept 11.  Students will be placed in their new classrooms on Friday Sept 11.

School Supplies

Based on feedback from parents, the school will be purchasing supplies on behalf of our Kindergarten to grade 3 students.  The teachers will make the supplies available to students.  The fees for the supplies are $35 for K/1 and $40 for 2/3.

The intermediate supply list is attached for your information.  It is the same list for grades 4-6 and it will be the responsibility of families to purchase the supplies.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer holiday!

P. Lorette
