October 30:

A beautiful Halloween clay project completed by the students in Mme Brenna’s classroom today.  A wonderful collaborative and creative effort by the students!

Congratulations to Garibaldi Highlands students!  We raised over $4000 for cancer research at our annual Terry Fox Run.  A great accomplishment.

It has been a busy October at Garibaldi Highlands Elementary.  Last week we held a very successful Terry Fox Run.  Students gathered together for a special assembly where student leaders taught us a little about Terry Fox and his goal to find a cure for Cancer.  Our students had a good run/walk and we are still counting our donations!  Earlier in the week, we held our “meet the teacher’ event and book fair, along with a GHE potluck dinner.  It was very well attended, there was delicious food and it was a nice community event.

Next week, 23 of our student leaders will be heading to Vancouver to take part in WE DAY.  The students will come back motivated to take on projects to help those in need.

  • Thursday, October 23 is individual photo day.  Don’t forget your big smiles!
  • Friday, October 24 is a Provincial Professional Development day and there will be no school for students.
